Concept Mapping

Aug 14, 2020

Study Title:  Rural Health Equity through Social Enterprise and Technology Synergies (RHE-SETS)

With funding from the UBCO Eminence program, and led by Dr Kathy Rush and Dr Eric Li, the RHE-SETS team is partnering with several communities in the Interior Health region (summer 2020). Representatives from rural communities and the tech sector will brainstorm ways that technology could be used to address the health-related needs of people living with chronic illness using a process called concept mapping. Concept mapping is a three step process that takes many ideas and reduces them to a few priority ideas that reflect issues important to the communities. Our goal is to build relationships with rural community members so that we can continue to work together to co-create action plans based on the mapping exercise to maximize healthy outcomes for rural citizens.
